HARDMIN research data repository now registered at re3data

HEAL-Link’s HARDMIN Research Data Repository fulfilled all of the prerequisites to be included in the Re3data Repositories catalog .

This is another step towards strengthening the Repository’s extroversion.

Re3data is a global registry of research data repositories covering research data repositories from different academic disciplines.

It includes repositories that enable the permanent storage and access of datasets to researchers, funding bodies, publishers and academic institutions.

re3data promotes a culture of sharing, increased access and better visibility of research data. The registry was launched in autumn 2012 and has been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Publishers such as Springer refer to re3data.org in their Editorial Policies as a tool to easily identify suitable data repositories for storing research data.

The use of re3data is also recommended in the “Guidelines for Open Access to Scientific Publications and Research Data in Horizon 2020” of the European Commission.
