HEAL-Link co-operations

One of the activities of HEAL-Link has been the creation of small co-operative forms in order to ensure access to individual electronic resources, for which there has been expressed interest by some members of the consortium.

Access for all of the Universities to the JSTOR Essential Collection.

The JSTOR Essential Collection contains 681 core journals across 45 disciplines, including History, Psychology, Sociology, Business, Economics, Political Science, Philosophy, Archaeology, Law, Music, Literature, Art, Architecture, Mathematics, Geography and other foundational fields of study and research. Some of the key journals included are:

Full-text articles are included for all issues of every journal beginning with Volume 1, Issue 1 up until the moving wall embargo. This moving wall refers to the gap of content between the archival (past) and current (more recent) issues of a journal and is set by the journal’s publisher. Most journals have a moving wall delay of 3-5 years. Each year, the moving wall resets on January 1 and another year’s worth of articles become available.

In addition to the quality of the content and breadth of coverage, the JSTOR Essential Collection offers users all the benefits of the JSTOR platform, including searchability, access to the JSTOR workspace, being co-located with thousands of Open Access monographs and images, integration with discovery services, comprehensive data and usage reporting, and access to JSTOR support.

The HeinOnline Academic Core (International) package includes an entire digital library containing more than 3,200 legal and law-related journals published in more than 60 different countries, along with thousands of legal data from Australia, Canada and Europe, a comprehensive database of Constitution data, including constitutional and governmental documents from every country, nearly 20,000 books and Treaties, and numerous government publications.

Access for all of the Universities to the full text of the entire content of Wolters Kluwer – Kluwer Law International 30 journals via the Kluwer Law Online platform.

Kluwer Law Online provides a collection of 30 journals that focus on key aspects of international law. It also provides current information on the latest developments in international, regional and national legislation, regulations and jurisprudence in the following practice areas: Arbitration, Courts & Mediation, Comparative Law, Competition Law, Corporate & Commercial Law, Environmental & Energy Law, European Union Law, Intellectual Property Law, Labor & Labor Law, Tax Law, Commercial Law, Transport Law. These are prestigious peer-reviewed journals on international legal topics in many different practice areas, written by experts from hundreds of countries around the world.

Access is controlled via IP recognition.

Access for all of the Universities to the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD). CSD is a world wide database of small-molecule organic and metal-organic crystal structure data that is managed by the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC). The database has been curated since 1965 from the published literature, direct deposition, and sources such as patents and PhD theses.

Over 1.2 million structures, all from experimental results, big-data learnings from the collective results are used globally to advance scientific research into pharmaceuticals, functional materials, MOFs (Metal Organic Frameworks), and more in both commercial and academic research.

The database is CoreTrustSeal certified, and recognized as a trusted data repository. Each year, the number of structures grows as crystallographers share their data in this central repository.
