Opt-out of the Agreements

Opt-out of the Agreements

According to the License Agreements HEAL-Link has signed with publishers for the years 2013-2015, HEAL-Link has the option to opt-out until the 31st of March of every year, if it can not meet its financial obligations for the current year.

Taking this into account, and the fact that for 2015 HEAL-Link has only secured half of the required annual budget (the Conference of Rectors, the Presidents of Technological Educational Institutes and the Minister of Education have been informed for this situation) HEAL-Link decided the following:

Asked the publishers to extend the opt-out date to 30th June 2015 (instead of 31st of March 2015). The publishers will be paid for the six months of 2015 and whatever outstanding payments from previous years. Most publishers have agreed to this proposal and HEAL-Link will have perpetual rights to the content published until 30th June of 2015.

The following publishers have agreed to move the opt-out date to 30th June 2015:

  • ACM
  • AIP
  • CUP
  • Elsevier
  • Emerald
  • IOP
  • Lippincott Williams & Wilkins
  • OUP
  • Project MUSE
  • PsycARTICLES (APA)
  • Sage
  • Springer
  • T&F
  • Wiley
