The project “Development of a Central Infrastructure for the provision of an Integrated Library System as a Service – (ILSaS)” has been implemented as part of the subproject 1 (No. 35/2011) of the integrated Act “ADVANCED CENTRAL SERVICES FOR OPEN ACCESS DIGITAL LIBRARIES – HEALLINK”. The project included 6 different library information systems distributed throughout the country and 26 different institutions with different policies and procedures. The main objective was economies of scale both financially as well as in human resources, and integrating academic libraries in a collaborative model which would affect multiple benefits for everyone.
