INTRODUCTION
The
4th ICOLC European Conference will take place Thursday 3 through
Saturday 5 October 2002, at the Athos Palace - Pallini Hotel
complex, at Kallithea-Chalkidiki, Greece.
Chalkidiki is located in northern Greece. It consists of three peninsulas; Kassandra, Sithonia and Athos. Kallithea is located in
the Kassandra peninsula, facing the Toronean gulf, just 50 miles (80km), less
than an hour’s drive from Thessaloniki. Click here to see some nice

Greece is GMT+2, 2 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time.

Wednesday 2 October-Welcome Cocktail
All participants and accompanying persons are invited to the welcome
cocktail to be held at the hotel’s lobby. Appetizers, salads and meat will be
served as well as desserts and fresh fruit. Included in the registration fee.
Friday 4 October-Open Air Greek Night
Experience the Greek cuisine and entertainment at the Open Air Greek Night. Traditional Greek food will be offered and a folklore group will entertain the participants and all the accompanying persons. Included in the registration fee.
Saturday 5 October-Thessaloniki tour
Thessaloniki tour. We will have the chance to take a tour to the most important monuments and sights of Thessaloniki. Included in the registration fee. Dinner at a small Greek Taverna. Included in the registration fee.
Note: Due to a number of cultural and commercial
events during the time of the conference there is limited room availability in
the city. Please indicate before July 30th if you are planning to stay in
Thessaloniki before or after the conference.The Organizing Secretariat will
make reservations
on your behalf and payments will be made directly to
the travel agency

During the conference days, all the participants and their accompanying
persons are welcome to use the hotel facilities (pools, beaches, etc.) Included
in the registration fee.
REGISTRATION
Attendees will be charged with a
registration fee (the accommodation fee will be paid directly to the hotel).
The registration fee covers the cost of all lunches, a dinner, coffee breaks,
conference space and equipment, welcome cocktail taking place on Wednesday
October 2, conference banquet (the Open Air Greek Night on Friday October 4),
the tour of Thessaloniki city by the end of the conference and a dinner at a
Greek Taverna. The registration fee is €300 if applying before August 20th
2002 and €330 if applying after the above date.
Accompanying persons will be charged with
a cost including the welcome cocktail, the conference banquet (Open Air Greek
Night), the tour of Thessaloniki city and a dinner at a Greek Taverna. The
price does not include lunch, other dinners, participation to the conference
and coffee breaks during the conference. The total cost is €110 per
accompanying person.

traveler ‘s cheques cannot be accepted.
